Saving the Places We Care About™

The Benjamin Thomas Holland Memorial Fund
A Sustainable Fund for Land Stewardship                                Donate Online

Ben Holland loved the outdoors ...

When James G. Holland and his wife Pamela Meadowcroft lost their son in 1998, they wanted to do something to memorialize the goodness he brought to the world.

"We wanted to commemorate his life in a special way that captured his active dedication to nature," Jim said. When they heard about the Land Steward Program at WPC, they thought of Ben.

Since December 1998, the Benjamin Thomas Holland Memorial Fund has contributed to the success of the emerging program. As of 2004, 104 volunteers have been trained to protect 38 ,000 acres of high conservation-value land in Western P ennsylvania . To sustain the program's success , we now ask for your financial contribution.

Make an investment that goes far...

Supporting WPC's Land Steward Volunteer s is an efficient and effective way to protect the land we love in Western Pennsylvania . To train and provide professional support to each Land Steward Volunteer requires less than $1,500 per year, but the service they provide is priceless. Land Steward Volunteers have prevented unapproved logging and the spread of invasive plant species. They have provided education on WPC land policies, and have spread goodwill among all those whom they meet. They are the lifeblood of stewarding WPC's lands!

As someone with strong conservation values, we are asking for your generous support of the Land Steward Program.

Help us protect the land we love in Western Pennsylvania by making a donation to the Ben jamin Thomas Holland Memorial Fund.
