A Recreation of James Richmond Barthé's Sculpture of Rose McClendon

The Rose McClendon sculpture is part of the permanent collection at Fallingwater. McClendon was a famous African American actress and a favorite of the Kaufmann family. The solemn, prayerful attitude of the sculpture reflects Barthe's interest in capturing the spirtuality of his subjects. The reproduction stands 15 inches tall. <more
