Robert P. Ruschak Photography Exhibited
at The Barn at Fallingwater
This year's Fallingwater Twilight Tour and Dinner on Saturday, August 27, includes a reception at the Barn at Fallingwater with well-known local photographer Robert P. Ruschak. Meet the artist and view his Poetry in Nature exhibit, which showcases nearly 70 of his black and white images, including those that reveal the intertwining of building and nature at Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Robert P. Ruschak has been fascinated with nature since he was a child “playing Davy Crockett in the woods, finding streams and big, cool trees, especially ones with Tarzan vines to swing on. There is a wonderful sense of exploration and discovery in the woods.” Influenced by Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, Ruschak appreciates it “when people tell me that my pictures give them a sense of peace. I say that it’s probably because I’m at peace when I take them.”
The Ruschak photographs will be on display and for sale at The Barn at Fallingwater, Tuesdays - Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., from July 19 through September 6. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge. Proceeds from all sales are being donated to the preservation of Fallingwater and other Western Pennsylvania Conservancy activities.
