Evergreen Members Stand By WPC
Evergreens like the hemlock and white pine need many years of nourishment to reach their full height of 100 feet and more - just as conservation success requires diligence and dedication over time. Western Pennsylvania Conservancy provides special recognition, through our Evergreen Circle, to the more than 3,500 members who have been loyal supporters for more than 15 years.
I like what WPC has done not only at Fallingwater but also with all of their programs. And I am very interested in WPC’s recent work in stream restoration.
Jim Donnell
WPC Member for 21 years
We wanted to do something about the degradation we were seeing on the land with the wild grape vegetation and the deer population, and we’re pleased to see WPC working with the ecology of the Laurel Highlands.

After seeing Fallingwater, we felt it was important to help the efforts to preserve watersheds and forests. And the gardens have added such beauty to our urban landscape. I was also impressed that WPC is providing the peregrine falcons with a nesting site in an urban environment.
Kathleen and Stephen Guinn WPC Members for 21 years
Like Jim Donnell, the Richters and the Guinns, the interest of our members in the Conservancy’s work has grown over the years as they’ve continued to stay involved.
