New Allegheny National Forest Supervisor
We welcome Kathleen Morse to Pennsylvania as the new forest supervisor of the Allegheny National Forest.
A Montana native, Kathleen has served 17 years in the National Forest Service in California and Alaska. With a degree in resource economics, she has spent much of her career as a regional economist helping to guide the management and use of forest natural resources.
“The Allegheny National Forest is a rich, multi-use forest, with only the beginnings of tourism and recreation,” Morse noted. “The forest is unique in the National Forest System for its high timber values, its history of intensive use and management, and its proximity to major population centers. These aspects, along with the forest’s reputation for having an innovative and high-caliber workforce, attracted me to the job.”
Kathleen will be located at the Allegheny National Forest office in Warren, Pa.
