From Pittsburgh, take I-79 south to I-70 west. On I-70 take exit 2 to Claysville, Pa. The exit ramp from the interstate takes you to old U.S. Rt. 40. Turn right (east) to get to Claysville. On the west side of Claysville, look for Pa. Rt. 231 south. Follow Rt. 231 south for 3.5 miles to an intersection where Rt. 231 bears left downhill and another hardtop road bears right and stays on the upland. There is a small store in the Y of the intersection. At this point, bear right of the store. Follow this road for 8.0 miles to a T intersection in West Finley. Turn left at the intersection, and continue for another 2.5 miles into the village of Burdette, then turn right, crossing a small iron bridge. You are now on a dirt road going uphill. After the road reaches the uplands, watch for the second sharp turn to the right. This turn switches back and is difficult to see. Make the sharp right turn, and start downhill into the valley. Park near the gate at the end of the road. Through a cooperative effort of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, two public agencies, and a large corporation, the 1,000-acre Enlow Fork Natural Area has been permanently protected as State Game Lands 302, Greene County. | | | |
