This species
of linden is easily recognized by the small size of its leaves
and flowers which spread irregularly and do not
last long. It is an excellent shade tree for lawns, large areas,
streets, planters, malls or just about any place that a good
tree is required.

| Height: 60’-70’ with
a high, narrow, very “twiggy” crown. |
| Leaves: 1-1/2”-3” long,
almost as wide. Smooth and somewhat lustrous green above and
beneath, turning to yellow or soft yellow in autumn. |
| Habitat: While
it is a tree native to Europe, this tree has been planted as
a shade tree almost anywhere since ancient
times. |
