An aristocrat
among trees. Japanese maples of many shapes, sizes and colors
adorn many of Pittsburgh’s private gardens. It grows
in a manner much like a flowering dogwood with almost layered
branches. Any garden or public place would be enhanced with
one or more of these fine trees.

as wide. Can grow to be 40’. |
| Leaves: 2”-5” long,
half as wide. Opposite, simple. Variable from light to dark green,
turning to brilliant reds and yellows in autumn, and lasting
until late November. |
