Conserving Water

WPC’s Freshwater Conservation Program is dedicated to watershed conservation issues and to providing a full range of services to the community. WPC participates in a wide range of water conservation efforts including watershed conservation plans, watershed restoration projects, bathymetry initiatives, water trail mapping, algae studies and many others.

Agricultural Services

We provide assistance to farmers and other large landowners wishing to implement Best Management Practices designed to protect water quality. This includes assistance navigating often-confusing government programs. This section includes information on the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP).

Technical Assistance

Much of our work involves providing direct technical assistance to grassroots watershed organizations. This section describes those services in greater detail.
